Ronan Point tower block collapse Canning Town, Newham, London 1968. Council tower block collapsed after a gas explosion blew out some load-bearing walls, causing the collapse of one entire corner of the building, which killed four people and injured 17. The building was assembled from prefabricated concrete sections - industralised housing by Talor Woodrow-Anglian Ltd - NLA - 1968-05-16
