Phoenix, Arizona: Tessera Solar 1.5 megawatt Maricopa Solar plant, the first of it's kind it opened in 2010 with 60 Suncatcher generators - a mirrored dish that concentrates and directs heat towards a Power Conversion Unit (PCU), a Stirling engine, to generate renewable solar to grid electricity.
