Walkers who use the footpath from Poundbury to the ancient hill fort of Maiden Castle are unable to cross the A35 safely, there is an underpass which could be used although The Prince of Wales, The Duchy of Cornwall, who owns the land has not re-routed the footpath. The tenant farmer locks the farm gate and places barbwire across the tops of the gates to stop walkers from using the track and underpass. - David Mansell - 2009-09-26
