The British Energy Hartlepool Power Station. A Nuclear power station of the 'Advanced Gas Cooled Reactor' type, (AGR), which is due for decommission by 2014. British Energy is proposing that a replacement power station be built on the site. The power station had been suffering from various technical problems prior to the time of this photo resulting in the plant having to be taken off line on occasion.
