Dearborn, USA-Ford Hunger March 90th anniversary. UAW members commemorating the 90th anniversary of the 1932 Ford Hunger March. With unemployment rate at 40% in Detroit and half of Ford workers laid off, 3,000 people marched to the Ford Rouge plant on March 7, 1932. They were met by Dearborn police and Ford security guards, who fired tear gas and bullets, killing five workers.
