usually charging at the very least £8,000 per (colour) page (or
much, much more) for advertising; prestigious specialist magazines
that may charge less for advertising but require a high level
of knowledge from the writer (and usually the reader). This category
includes Marie Claire, GQ, and (among
the prestige publications) Management Today and New
Scientist.

magazines with smaller circulations, often charging between £5000
- just below £8000 per (colour) page, slightly less prestigious
specialist magazines, possibly with a more general readership.
This category includes: Time Out, The Face
and Money Wise.

Larger-circulation
trade magazines and some special interest titles, usually charging
between £2000 - just below £5000 per (colour) page. Titles include:
Accountancy Age, Personal Computer World
and trade union journals.
Group
D
Small-circulation
trade and specialist magazines (including Trades Union journals)
whose advertising rates are likely to be below £2000 per page.
Examples include Nursing Times and magazines that
carry little or no advertising.
